So, normally I write a little something about my anniversary BEFORE it actually happens. Sorry about my tardiness.
A smidgen over 17 years ago, I married the woman who, if she doesn't quite understand all of my little quirks (I try to come up with new ones, regularly), she certainly suffers them with the grace of no one I have ever seen before and I love her for it.
I'm pretty sure I have mentioned this before, on this platform, but I never cease to be amazed by the number and magnitude of things that would be different in my life and the lives of our children, had she not entered them.
After this many years, we've gotten into a rhythm. I believe this can be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on how one manages it. I would like to publicly commit to making every effort to ensure that this rhythm doesn't become that constant noise that you eventually stop even noticing. I think it's good to throw a little high hat in to that steady beat every once in a while.
We'll see what I can come up with. Given the general elevated pace of this year and, probably next, I'm sure it will be challenging. Nothing worth doing is ever easy. Here's to many more!
